California’s Gold County is one of the best locations to take a gold bullion mining trip. There is more than 100 square miles of land near the Sierra Nevada mountain range. California is home to over 50 gold mining camps which span 11 counties so there is more than enough space for you to find yourself some gold.

Going to see the towns which have only become prosperous and survive today because they struck gold is one of the most enjoyable experiences of a mining trip. Equally exiting is visiting the ghost towns which are now deserted after no gold was found.

If you take the Mother Lode Highway, more conventionally known as the CA-49, you will get to visit the gold mines at Auburn and Mariposa.

Travelling to northern California is where you will find the most profitable gold mining towns in the state as it was here that was best hit during the Gold Rush. Gold sifting on the banks of the American River was done by all as the current left large gold deposits at its edges.

You cannot undertake a gold mining trip without visiting regions including Auburn, Mariposa, Angels Camp, Sutter Creek and Placerville. Gold has been a material treasured by every people on the earth for thousands of years. In physics, Gold has the symbol of Au on the periodic table and an atomic number of seventy nine. It is a precious metal used in sculpture, jewellery and as an ornamental piece. From the time of its very earliest discovery till the present this is one precious metal for which people continue to desire and many will do anything to get their hands on it.
