Christmas is all about relaxing days on the sofa wrapped in a double duvet cover with holiday films on and goodies. Nothing beats sitting down to a chick-flick marathon with a warm mince pie and glass if mulled wine. These kinds of days are just so relaxing. They are especially well-deserved if you have spent the morning having snow ball fights or building underground palaces out of snow. Warming yourself up can be an excuse but it will be so much fun. The following article is my three top tips for relaxing on a winter’s day.
Movie Day
You have probably guessed by now that one of my favourite winter activities is to sit on the sofa wrapped in my double duvet cover with some snacks and my holiday movies. I have my favourite films including any brit-flicks and romantic comedies. These days are best if they are totally interrupted, only getting up to go to the toiler at fill up on more snacks. Before you begin your first film of the day, make sure you have everything you need in touching distance because you will not want to move! But do make sure you get up in time to make it to the toilet when you need a wee!
Cooking And Baking
I love getting into the kitchen for a good bake if I have a bit of energy. When the windows steam up you will feel like you are in a world of your own. Cooing Christmas cookies and decorating them is one of my favourite recipes. Pies, cakes and soups are also very festive. Not only is cooking a form of stress relief which is nice during the busy holiday season but it is also very fun, and you get to enjoy what you make!
Playing In The Snow
No Christmas is complete without making snow angels, building snow people and throwing the white stuff at each other. You can feel like a child again when you get to have a snow day. Even if you do not have children you do not have to miss out on the fun of a snow day.
